Autumn module starts 31 August

Terms and cancellation

The agreement between your family and Swiss NewEra. Last updated 21 August 2026.

The short version

The CHF 45 trial session is refunded if it was not right for your child. Module fees are not refundable once a module has begun. A trial session is credited against enrolment. Eight children per group is a promise, not a target.

1. Who this is between

Swiss NewEra, Schaffhauserstrasse 550, 8052 Zürich, and the parent or legal guardian who registers a child. By registering you confirm that you are at least eighteen and are entitled to register that child.

2. What we provide

Afternoon programmes across three pathways — Languages & Technology, Creative Arts & Expression, Future Intelligence & Life Skills — plus Gymivorbereitung, holiday bootcamps, maths support and one-to-one tutoring, for children aged 6 to 17.

A module is ten sessions of 90 minutes unless the programme page states otherwise. Groups are a maximum of eight children per teacher. If we cannot staff a group at that ratio, we do not run it.

3. Registration and fees

A registration is confirmed in writing by email. Fees are payable before the first session unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Prices are in Swiss francs and include all materials and equipment; nothing further is charged during the module.

A trial session costs CHF 45 and is credited in full against the module fee if your child enrols.

4. Cancellation and refunds

The CHF 45 trial session exists so that you can judge us before committing. If it was not right for your child, tell us and we refund the CHF 45 in full. No reason needed.

Module fees are a different matter. Once a module has begun, fees are not refundable — the place is held for your child, the group is capped at eight, and an empty seat cannot be filled part-way through. Please use the trial session to decide.

Long illness or a move away from Zürich: talk to us. We settle these case by case and in good faith.

A missed session that your child could not attend is not refunded, but can be made up in another group of the same programme where a place exists.

5. What is expected in the room

Respect for the teacher, the other children and the equipment. We will always talk to you first if something is not working. In the rare case that a child cannot safely remain in a group, the remaining fee is refunded pro rata — a child leaving is not a penalty we profit from.

6. Collection, and who is responsible when

We are responsible for your child from the start of a session until the end of it, and until an authorised adult collects them where you have told us collection is required. Outside those hours, responsibility rests with the parent or guardian.

7. Work your child makes

It belongs to your child. Course materials belong to us and are for your family's use, not for redistribution. We show a child's work publicly only with the written photo and work consent described in the data protection notice.

8. Liability

We are liable for damage caused by our own fault, to the extent Swiss law provides. We are not liable for personal property brought to the centre, or for events outside our control. Please tell us about allergies and medical needs at registration — we act on what we are told.

9. Changes, and governing law

If we change these terms, the version you registered under is the one that applies to that module. Swiss law governs this agreement, and the courts of Zürich have jurisdiction.

Something here unclear

Ask before you register, not after. We would rather explain it now.
