What we collect, why we collect it, and what we will never do with it. Last updated 21 August 2026.
The short version
We collect the minimum we need to teach your child and talk to you about it. We do not sell or rent personal data. Photographs of children are never published without written consent, asked per child. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Who is responsible
Swiss NewEra, Schaffhauserstrasse 550, 8052 Zürich, Room E096. Questions about your data go to info@swissnewera.com or 044 811 11 88, and a person answers them.
What we collect
For a registration: the child's first and last name, date of birth, the pathway or bootcamp booked, and the name, email address and telephone number of a parent or guardian. Where relevant to keeping a child safe, we ask about allergies, medical needs and who is authorised to collect the child.
During a module: attendance, progress notes, and the work your child produces.
On the website: standard server information such as IP address, browser and device type, and which pages were viewed. We use this to see whether the site works, not to profile visitors.
Why we use it
- To register your child, place them in the right group, and reach you if something happens during a session.
- To invoice you and keep the records Swiss law requires us to keep.
- To send you the progress note and practical information about the module your child is enrolled in.
- To improve how a course is taught. Never to build an advertising profile of a child.
Children's data and photographs
Data about a child is collected only with the consent of a parent or guardian. Photographs and video are a separate, written consent, asked per child, and can be withdrawn at any time without giving a reason. If consent is not given, your child is simply not photographed. Children are never named publicly alongside an image.
Who else sees it
We do not sell or rent personal data. It is shared only with the service providers we need to operate — a payment provider and an email provider — and only with what they need. Data may also be disclosed where Swiss law obliges us to. Nothing else.
How long we keep it
Registration and progress records are kept for the duration of the enrolment and afterwards only as long as accounting law requires. Enquiries that do not become registrations are deleted within twelve months. After that it is deleted or anonymised.
Cookies
This site uses only what it needs to function and to count page views in aggregate. No advertising trackers. You can block cookies in your browser and the site will still work.
Your rights
You may ask what we hold about you or your child, correct it, have it deleted, or receive a copy in a portable format. Write to info@swissnewera.com and we will answer within thirty days. You may also complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
